Se Young (Pablo) Yoon was born in Seoul, Korea on September 4, 1980. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in System Science and Mathematics from Washington University in Saint Louis in 2005, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Virginia in 2011. After graduate school, he was a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Virginia. During the same time, he served as a research associate for the Rotating Machinery and Controls (ROMAC) Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the same university. He is a member of IEEE, IEEE-CSS, Tau Beta Pi, and Kappa Mu Epsilon.
