Shreya Paul is a Project Director at UNH's Institute on Disability who's passionate about using data analytics to convey compelling narratives in the field of disability policy. After earning her undergraduate degree in Mathematics, she pursued a master's degree in public affairs (MPA) from Indiana University. Shreya's research interests encompass various public policy areas, including disability, health, and education policies. Her research centers on the analysis of nationally representative survey data from sources like the American Community Survey and Current Population Survey, with a focus on issues such as employment, health, and programs that affect the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Annually, Shreya spearheads the creation of the Annual Disability Statistics Collection, which includes the Annual Disability Statistics Compendium, Supplement, Annual Report, and Infographics. These documents provide summary statistics derived from government programs. In addition to her involvement in this project, Shreya is deeply engaged in quantitative research. Her responsibilities encompass designing and executing research studies, identifying existing data sources, and conducting advanced data analysis. Shreya has shared her research findings in esteemed peer-reviewed journals and presented her work at national conferences, contributing to the ongoing discourse in the field of disability studies. Through her work, Shreya is committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by equipping them with the tools necessary to access and comprehend current disability statistics.
