Takahide Ohkami is a Lecturer in the Department of Applied Engineering and Sciences at the University of New Hampshire at Manchester. He has held this position since the spring of 2022 following the Adjunct Faculty position for Fall 2020 - Fall 2021. He taught courses on digital electronics with hardware design in VHDL , microcomputer technology, software development in Java, Master's project, and electrical engineering technology project.
Before his faculty appointment, he worked for various semiconductor/computer engineering companies in Japan and the United States as a hardware/software engineer. His industry experience includes the design, programming, evaluation, and verification of various embedded systems, computer graphics and imaging systems, ASICs, and FPGAs.
Dr. Ohkami holds a B.E. in Control Engineering from the University of Tokyo, a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Rochester, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Tokyo. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the Mathematical Association of America (MAA).
