Overview

  • Prof. Tom Weber joined the Mechanical Engineering faculty in the fall of 2012. He is also a faculty member of the UNH Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping, which he joined after completing his PhD in 2006.

    Prof. Weber conducts research in the field of underwater acoustics and acoustical oceanography. His specific areas of interest include acoustic propagation and scattering in fluids containing gas bubbles, the application of acoustic technologies to fisheries science, high-frequency acoustic characterization of the seafloor, and sonar engineering.

    Prof. Weber regularly teaches Underwater Acoustics (OE 795/895) as well as Projects/Numerical Methods (ME 696).
