Scott Berube is currently a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner and Principal Lecturer of Accounting and Finance. He has taught at UNH as an adjunct instructor since 2004 and accepted a position as a Lecturer in 2007. In addition to teaching, Scott serves as the faculty recruiting coordinator for accounting students and provides tax and consulting services for a diverse client base. Prior to joining UNH, Scott was employed by the firm of Howe, Riley & Howe, PLLC and performed audit, tax and other consulting services for both profit and not-for-profit organizations.
Scott has taught a variety of courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. He has served as the treasurer for Opera New Hampshire, Inc. and as a member of the Board of Directors for the NH Society of CPAs (NHSCPA). Scott also served for a one-year term as a member-at-large on the Executive Committee of the UNHLU-AAUP and currently serves as the treasurer. Scott is a recipient of the 2010 NHSCPA’s Outstanding Accounting Educator Award, 2011 WSBE Excellence in Teaching Award, 2014 Alan Freedman Prize for Outstanding Teaching in the Graduate Accounting Program, and 2016 Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics Excellence in Teaching Award.
