I joined UNH Cooperative Extension’s Nutrition Connections Program in 1997 as an Educational Program Coordinator in Grafton County. In 2009 I started working on statewide initiatives and became a Field Specialist for the Healthy Living Area of Expertise. I oversee the Healthy Schools NH initiative which provides low-income schools assistance with nutrition and physical activity education for students and their parents; wellness committees and policies and implementation of the Smarter Lunchroom Movement. In addition, I maintains a website for Healthy Schools NH as well as a Facebook page for Nutrition Connections.
I was an adjunct professor at Plymouth State University from 2004-2009. I taught Applied Nutrition to under graduate students as well as an Issues in Nutrition class to graduate students. I also taught Issues in Rural Poverty at Granite State College. I have enjoyed the variety of teaching experience afforded me by working in the university system.
