Clinical Competency Assessment of Students: NTF and Faculty Supporting Preceptors

Abstract

  • The National Task Force for Quality Nurse Practitioner Education now requires faculty to ensure student competency in history taking, physical assessment, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and clinical reasoning prior to entering clinical training and progressive clinical assessments across the program of study. This session supports preceptor to require learner level appropriate student clinical competent and appropriate faculty support.
