The Mel Rines Student Angel Investment Fund (the Fund) is a cross-disciplinary, undergraduate, student-managed angel investment fund and class at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). The Fund, which is open to all majors at UNH, allows students to learn angel and venture capital investment strategies through the first-hand experience of co-investing with experienced angels in start-up companies that are external to UNH. The Fund’s investable funds are from an endowment by a UNH alumnus, ensuring the sustainability of the Fund. The Fund is one of the few, if not the only, exclusively undergraduate angel fund in the US.
