Overview

  • Maingi Solomon, PhD., has research and teaching interests in the political economy of development. He is particularly interested in the production, and commodification of nature for the purposes of development and market expansion. His training and initial research interests were grounded in social theory, environmental governance, and social change with a focus on understanding the vulnerability of rural agrarian communities, the dynamics of subsistence, and drought-related crises in sub-Saharan Africa.
