Throughout his twenty-year career in the investment management industry, Michael has worked for firms such as Fidelity Investments, and has held positions as an Analyst, Portfolio Manager and Chief Investment Officer. Since 2007, he has been a member of the faculty at the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire, where he has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in finance and investments. Michael is active in his community, serving on several boards and committees, including: York Hospital’s Investment Committee and formerly the Maine CFA Society Board of Directors and Strawbery Banke Museum Board of Trustees. He is also a graduate of Leadership Seacoast. Michael holds an MBA from the University of New Hampshire and Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Bentley University. He has also earned the right to use the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation. Michael is a member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society Boston and the Maine CFA Society. Michael grew up mainly in Atkinson, New Hampshire and now resides in York, Maine. He and his wife Barrie have two children, Margaret and Michael Jr. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, mountain climbing and traveling with his family and friends.
