Mike is the Program Team Leader for Youth & Family programs. He has worked in the field of experiential education for over 20 years. Before taking the job as Youth and Family Program Team Leader and State 4-H program Leader in 2012, Mike was an Extension Educator for 4-H Youth development in Rockingham County. Prior to his work with UNH Cooperative Extension, Mike worked in the field of outdoor education with a focus on youth at risk. This work included: developing a web-based practice research network involving over 25 different residential treatment facilities across North America; facilitating and analyzing an Appreciative Inquiry at an alternative school in Massachusetts; convening the international 2007 Adventure Therapy Best Practices Conference; leading international youth development experiences; and managing North Star Adventure, a community-based therapeutic adventure program serving special-needs and at risk families in Massachusetts.
Mike has PhD in Education from UNH, a Masters in Education from Harvard and a BA in History from Brown University.
