My primary research interest is focused on fish biology with a specialization in applications to land-based aquaculture. I enjoy integrating a broad spectrum of approaches including modern genetic techniques, molecular methods, extensions/outreach, field work, and fish culture skills to answer questions in aquaculture or fisheries science. I earned my PhD in 2019 at UNH focused on striped bass and continue promoting them as a priority candidate for the U.S. aquaculture industry through various research projects and extension efforts. I have been fortunate to remain at UNH working in the broader field of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture where among many different research projects, I am striving to expand the current curriculum offerings to students and working professionals interested in sharing our passion for seafood production.
