Kristin Eberl (she/her/hers) has worked with youth and families for over 20 years focusing on child development as well as youth behavioral health and wellness. Most recently, Kristin worked in New Hampshire’s public school system, as a school counselor, where she had the opportunity to support youth within three domains: career development, academic development and social/emotional development. Prior to this role, Kristin worked in experiential education with a focus on adventure-based therapy, working for several different organizations between Pennsylvania and New Hampshire. Working exclusively within the non-profit sector, Kristin has been given the unique opportunity to not only identify systematic gaps within youth programming, but creative and strategic ways in which to fill them, too. Currently, Kristin’s work within Extension is focused on supporting educator mental health as a starting point to support social and emotional learning in schools. Additionally, Kristin has partnered with the Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire to develop a nature-based wellness school curriculum, All-Terrain Learning Adventures (ATLAS), that is being piloted within Rockingham County. Lastly, educating and training adult leaders on inclusive practices that support our LGBTQ2S+ community are of particular interest to Kristin. Kristin has a M.Ed. in Counseling from UNH '08 and a B.A. in Interpersonal and Relational Communications from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania '04.
