Dr. Collins is the Chair of the Department of Kinesiology. An expert in coach development and coaching education, coaching philosophy, and leadership development, Dr. Collins joined the UNH Faculty in 2002. In addition to her faculty role at UNH, Dr. Collins has served as the Sport Studies Program Coordinator, College of Health and Human Services Faculty Fellow for Teaching Excellence, and a Sport Psychology Consultant for the Department of Athletics. A recipient of the CHHS Teaching Excellence Award, Dr. Collins has recently added the science of learning in coaching education to her research related activities. In addition to her current role as Chair of Kinesiology, Dr. Collins directs a Leadership Development Program for female-student athletes. Prior to her career in higher education, Dr. Collins coached collegiately at Princeton University, Dartmouth College, and UNH, as well as in the youth development program for USFHA. Most recently, she was named to the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) National Advisory Board. Dr. Collins has a doctorate in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, MS in Kinesiology from UNH, and an AB in Sociology from Princeton University.
