Keri Vasquez Miloro, MS, CAGS, CCC-SLP, BCS-S, has over 20 years of experience serving adults in the acute, sub-acute, long-term care, homecare and outpatient settings. She recently transitioned to academia to strengthen education and training of students, applying the highest levels of evidence-based practice, specifically in swallowing and swallowing disorders. She is also a practicing clinician in both an acute-care and acute rehabilitation hospital, specializing in the treatment and management of dysphagia in adults. She is passionate about teaching and practicing person-centered care with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration. Keri continues to be the first and only board-certified specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders (BCS-S) in New Hampshire.
She advanced her education earning the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Boston University where she gained knowledge and skills conducting research in swallowing disorders and proficiency in conducting flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). Keri was actively involved in research with areas of interest in dysphagia rehabilitation, head neck cancer and aspiration/oral care. She has several publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and an invited speaker for local and national organizations. Recently, Keri has started a mentoring program for SLPs to learn and implement FEES at their facilities.
Keri serves on the executive board for the New Hampshire Speech, Language and Hearing Association as the Vice President of Membership - Outreach. She is passionate about providing education and training in the field of swallowing and swallowing disorders to her colleagues and community outreach.
