As a clinical supervisor, my primary responsibilities include mentoring graduate clinicians in on-campus and satellite programs. My research activities have centered on clinical education. I consider myself a generalist and have had considerable experience with all ages and communication needs in both educational and medical settings. Particular areas of focus have included services to individuals with language/learning disabilities, hearing loss, augmentative/alternative communication systems, acquired brain injury, social skills and accent modification.
This link leads to an invited article my colleagues and I co-authored for the American Speech Language Hearing Association Special Interest Group 11: Administration & Supervision Perspectives Newsletter. On the Road to Self-Supervision. It summarizes our model of clinical education. http://sig11perspectives.pubs.asha.org/article.aspx?articleid=2022322
