Overview

  • Jianhong Chen is an associate professor in the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire. She is MBA director of Strategy and the research director of Center for Venture Research. Her research interests include strategic leadership, competitive dynamics, and entrepreneurial financing. Her papers appear in the field's premier outlets such as Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly, and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. Jianhong received the Outstanding Research Award at Paul College in 2017. She serves on the editorial board of Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management and Strategic Organization. She was an Associate Editor at Group and Organization Management. She received Academy of Management Journal Best Reviewer Award in 2022. Jianhong currently teaches strategic management and entrepreneurship courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels. She received the Part-time MBA Faculty Excellence Award at Paul College in 2021.
