Charles Vannette is an assistant professor of German in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. Vannette joined UNH in 2015 after spending four years at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. He earned his Ph.D. in German literature from Ohio State University in 2011. Vannette teaches lower- and upper-level courses in German language, literature, and culture at UNH. His research interests include cognitive approaches to literature, literature and 'madness,' disability studies and literature, and more broadly, the literature and culture of the 20th century.
