Overview

  • My current area of research focus is in adult stress perception and its impact on behavior, quality of life perception, and occupational performance in adults, particularly those who live with brain injury. Several of my projects have studied not only perception of individuals but also the effectiveness of community intervention approaches in mitigating life stress and promoting healthier social connections and perceived quality of life. Current studies are looking at overall health records in persons living with brain injury and drug/alcohol use in persons with brain injury who attend a community program in comparison to others living in the community without these supports.
Additionally, my stress scale for children (PSS-C) (White, 2014) is available for free use upon request. This tool is included in a data capture and sharing platform being launched in the UK. https://www.bouncetogether.co.uk/survey-database/perceived-stress-scale-children
