Overview

  • Professor Vellante is apart of the Clinical Faculty within the Exercise Science Program in the Kinesiology Department. She has worked as an Exercise Physiologist at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, Massachusetts supporting both the Young Adult and Adult clinics. Her involvement within the diabetic community have had both a local and international reach for projects restructuring and developing exercise programs to support individuals living with diabetes. Having accumulated working in healthcare for over 12 years she has held positions at both Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston) and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston) in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington,MA. She has a deep understanding for the influence of chronic disease on the human body and believes all humans have a right to a healthy body and has a long term goal to help as many people achieve that through human movement and wellness education.
