Alexa Trolley-Hanson graduated with her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire in 2004. She went on to work with children and families in Family Centered Early Supports and Services and Outpatient Sensory Integration, building healthy families regardless of illness or disability. Alexa Trolley-Hanson’s work with children and families often focused on addressing mental and behavioral health needs and spurred her to expand her practice into adult behavioral health. As a clinical faculty member of the UNH Department of Occupational Therapy, she has developed new student led OT programs at residential Substance Use Disorder treatment facilities and community based psychosocial clubhouses. Alexa Trolley-Hanson advocates for the role of OT in integrated behavioral health and is implementing a grant-funded, interprofessional training program in integrated Primary Care Behavioral Health.
